Yes I did install based on your steps .. there was one change that I had to do for install I followed the following steps that you had shown.
Install libvpx: here is where I made on change had to get libvpx-v0.9.7 as when I tried to configure ffmpeg , it did complain .. so I had installed that ..
and then i get this error
I just noticed , I have two versions of x264 , one located in usr/bin and other other one I installed as part of your install doc ..
let me try removing the one on /usr/bin , just noticed that I am having issues not able to locate x264 ..
how do I revert the whole process and start from scratch ..

I notice that I have the following issue when performing make for ffmpeg .. any clues ..
