static files using nginx instead of apache

Hi,

we have a little problem on our webserver with too many apache calls.
Is there a way we can serve static images and css files via nginx instead of apache and how would it work?
We have a separate video server so video files aren't the problem.

thanks!!

You can also configure this video server to serve the css/js. Create the required folders templates/defboot/{css,js,images} and copy the files from these folders to the video server. Once done edit libraries/cdn.php and set the CDN url to (http://your.video.server.url). Also make sure that this line:

require LIBRARY_DIR.'/cdn.php';

is uncommented in libraries/bootstrap.php
