Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

You need to download the latest version from the x264 page and then compile it using the method provided in this howto. You dont need to use git, download also works ok.

Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

No green checks for " FFmpeg Encoding Support" and "FFmpeg Decoding Support"

EDIT: Got desperate today LOL, so i follow this guide and got all green checks.

http://ffmpeg.org/trac/ffmpeg/wiki/Cent … ationGuide

Only bad part is mobile conversion is not working *sigh*

Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

Note:  after you run ffmpeg line make sure you do a ldconfig when in the ffmpeg directory (before you cd to the root directory)

Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

It works on any Cent OS version. You are doing something wrong. The cd in the ffmpeg folder is not correct.

Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

You dont need git, just use the latest stable version from the ffmpeg.org site, no need to use git. At the time this howto was written, there was no stable ffmpeg version and only the git version was viable.

Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

Did you install the x264 library? If yes, make sure you've run ldconfig and also make sure you dont have 2 versions of the x264 library installed.

Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

Yes I did install based on your steps .. there was one change that I had to do for install  I followed the following steps that you had shown.
Install libvpx: here is where I made on change had to get libvpx-v0.9.7 as when I tried to configure ffmpeg , it did complain ..  so I had installed that ..
and then i get this error
I just noticed , I have two versions of x264 , one located in usr/bin and other other one I installed as part of your install doc ..
let me try removing the one on /usr/bin , just noticed that I am having issues not able to locate x264 ..
how do I revert the whole process and start from scratch ..

Re: [HOWTO] Install ffmpeg/yamdi/qt-fastart for Adult Script Pro on CentOS

Its not easy to revert and start from scratch. You need to remove the x264 libraries and the ffmpeg libraries (probably located in /usr/local/lib and /usr/lib).

You need to install a compiler. Run the following command:

yum install gcc gcc-c++ automake autoconf patch make libtool
