On the requirements page, from my understanding it says I should use PHP 5.2 however 5.2 is deprecated. My server is currently on 5.4, should I downgrade it to 5.3? I'm trying to keep everything up-to-date with these libraries and stuff so if 5.4 doesn't affect the functioning of this software then please let me know.
Thank you very much Eri. I asked the same question earlier on WHT and they all suggested the same.
Which do you recommend using with the ASP software? Nginx, Apache or Lighttpd?
So basically...it just asks the users to disable adblock. It doesnt disable it by default. Will try to include this in the next version.
What I meant was allow a setting in ACP where admins can choose to display the disable adblock sign or not.
Just a personal opinion; I would like this as a feature which you can enable or disable. I can see pros and cons with this so I wouldn't want this enabled by default.
I thought about it but I can't restrict IPs as myself and another admin are both always traveling around the globe but I'll protect the directory however that can be bypasses at times too.
True however I was wondering how about something like renaming the ACP, how would one go about accomplishing that? Or is it not possible in the current version?
It makes sense. Are we allowed to fork the project on github or somewhere private and help contribute?
I believe this is a wanted feature because after discussing with many webmaster friends of mine including the public, I have come to the conclusion that this could be very helpful therefore I am personally hiring a developer to help me accomplish this feature. I would love to see this in one of V.1 instead of waiting til ASP 2.
I was wondering what ACP security does ASP allow me to have? Example: Change ACP address from "Admin", honeypot admin, add secret pin on ACP page, etc.
Any tips or any idea on how to increase security?
That would be highly appreciated.
I can write a HOWTO about this, but you need to be a at least beginner with html/css/php if you want to modify the template (if you just want to change a link, or something similar then this is not needed). Also our software is Adult Script Pro, AVS is another script called Adult Video Script.
Oh thanks for correcting me with the softwares mixup. I do know pretty much the basics of html/css/php. I would highly appreciate it if you could please create a howto.
Oh okay. Thanks for the update.
Hey, would there happen to be any how to on customizing the default theme? If so, can you please link me? If not, can you please post one?
I am just looking forward to learn more about what each attribute refers to on the actual theme or how a theme works on the AVS software.
I am looking forward to create a new theme for my website and I was wondering if someone could link me to a tutorial already posted on the community. I am pretty much looking forward to learn more about how the theme works with the AVS software. Topics including but not limited to certain functions, and hooks.
I was wondering maybe there should be a setting category in ACP where you can specify the permissions of a certain group.
Example:
You could edit the admin group permissions and allow them access to certain settings in the ACP. This could be a great security feature as if one of your admin accounts get compromised, the hacker has limited access to the admin control panel or if you hire someone who is not familiar with the ACP then you could restrict their access so they don't mess with the important stuff.
