@sebo1992: h264 conversion requires a lot of CPU. The faster CPU you have (more more CPUs) the better. The time required for conversion is not important, because the quality is so good (at least for me). There is no way to make it faster (with ffmpeg, or mencoder...or any other tool), except when you will lose quality.

@nowhereman: can you please email me the file that doesnt convert correctly? (or upload it on some FTP). For the presets i'm still debugging because ffmpeg doesnt use -vpre anymore, it uses -preset, -tune and -profile. Seems like to get the exact thing as -vpre slow, now you need -preset slow (actually a ffmpeg developer told me that its the other way around, as -vpre slow mimicked what -preset slow does). I will have to debug, and figure out a way to make it work in both cases (probably some SVN, or GIT identification).

symtab none of the FLV files, I can of course give you FTP to the files but, its not a specific file. I even uploaded files that are not FLV.

vpre works fine for me I just had to create the preset file

So any FLV file converted to mobile will double its size? (or even converted to h264, same thing happens?)

I have a question, why is it that HD mp4 (1080p) that are uploaded and reconverted have a final of 960x540 (Even though 960x720 is selected as default in the admin area? it ends up being 540p instead of 720p

Change the mobile to 320x240 and also lower the bitrate. If this still happens, check your xh264 version, make sure you are using the latest x264 library version. We do not need the presets anymore, ffmpeg doesnt use those presets anymore...
