#2 Marketplace » Selling Full Site with Established Traffic - PRICE REDUCED » 2012-09-24 00:28:39

So, I am going to take the risk and try a full blown porn site, thus I am selling my tube site - which has served me well and made me good money (over 5 times my initial investment - in just 6 months).  The 6 months is, I bought the script in Feb. of this year, but didn't really launch until March (as visible in the screenshots).

I only use JuicyAds now but have had total of $1346.76 in net revenue (I used to do a TON of ads, but have switched to just a few = more users).  For JuicyAds alone, I have over $900 for the last 4 months.

Current worth according to:  http://www.worthofweb.com/website-value … nshelf.com (they are wrong, its about half that).

Alexa Traffic Rank      680,136 Global Rank    330,298 Rank in US  - At one point I was at ~ 412,000 globally and right at ~100,000 in the US.

I do not care about PR because it doesn't matter.  Those that say it does are just plain wrong - search the google forums and their admins will say its bunk - I asked.

This site was setup as a tube site with a ton of videos (369234 as of right now).  I did not do users, but 63 did register before I completely disabled it.  There are over 1000 pornstars with photos and full bios - all manually entered as I couldn't find a script to buy.

I am selling everything.  Domain name (you pay the transfer - currently with NameCheap.com), images, embedded videos, database, templates, logos, everything.  Basically, if you get a server, I will give you everything so you can duplicate what I have right now - except for my JuicyAds account info and Google account info as these have my personal info, etc - and as soon as you point the DNS to your server, you will have instant traffic.

I am asking $2000, but will entertain any serious offer.  You can make that back fast, based on my existing traffic.  If you do any level of marketing at all, you can increase that.  As is now, it requires ZERO effort to admin.  I login weekly just to make sure that no videos have been flagged.

This is about as turnkey and guaranteed of a deal as it gets.  I am trying to go bigger and become a producer of content, so that is why I am selling.

Hit me up at admin@thehiddenshelf.com.

EDIT:  Price has been dropped to $2000 from $4000.  Revenue screenshots on request.  In addition, we have about 7 other domains that will go with it.  Some have varying amounts of traffic - nothing remarkable - but we only have 1 ASP license.

Can you fix the add a module part so we can actually add our own modules?

THS

Chances are they converted and just didn't get updated.  If thats the case just run a sql query and update their status.

Very annoying.  For those of us that are actually trying to help users with simple questions so you don't have to do it and can keep working on 1.0, its a major pita.

I manually added them from open sources, redtube, xhamster, and other sites that allowed it.

Thats how it works.  Now, I logged into my panel and for the life of me, I can't find the CDN config section anymore.  I must have disabled something.  I thought it was on the video -> config -> thumbs tab.

#9 Re: Troubleshooting » Use Images CDN » 2012-07-12 01:26:21

THS

Nothing, just go to your video config and tell it where your CDN is.

Any chance we can get the 60 seconds between replies removed or changed?  Now that you have the new spam filter in place it shouldn't be an issue as only trusted members are posting.

This might be best in an email mate.

Go into admin -> video -> config.  There is a tab for thumbs.  I believe it is right there.

or even better, just use search and change the sort.

There are two places for your logo:  1 in templates and 1 in profile -> templates.

Totally, but thats so far down the road like 1.6 or even a 2.0 feature imo.

I agree with google analytics. I'm thinking to actually integrate their stats. They have a javascript API with charts which i can embed in the admin panel.

That would be cool.  The biggest thing that I hate about GA - that I have created for myself - is the ability to have a dashboard with all my different sites (non-ASP) metrics on it.  So say you had several tube sites, you could login to one and see everything about the others.  I think that is one section were ASP could make some serious $$$.  Add to the script the ability to admin multiple ASP sites from one admin console.

#17 Re: Development » Premium only video uploading / Cookie question » 2012-07-01 15:52:19

THS

You will need to wrap the button in an if statement that checks the group_id from the session array.  If it equals premium then show the button.  Do not use a cookie for this as that can be bypassed extremely easy.

#18 Re: Feature Requests » Statistics » 2012-07-01 15:47:42

THS

Additionally, the power you get with Google Analytics is far greater and less impactful on high traffic sites.  Its really hard to compete with a company that has tons of programmers and money and has been doing stats for years.

#19 Re: Open Discussion » Can you send mass emails out to your members? » 2012-07-01 04:45:56

THS

Yes.  Go into the admin panel -> main page -> email -> send.  In the to field, you can choose individuals or can use one of these options:  all, registered, premium.  Just type one of those words into that field and it goes to that group.

#20 Re: Development » 32000 limit? Switch to EXT4? » 2012-06-29 15:11:11

THS

There is not a limit on files but on subdirectories in EXT.  EXT3 it is 32K and EXT4 is 64K.  I do not know of a single folder that would encounter this issue as @Symtab has the thumbnail folders being created/named by using the file id split into groups of 3 so the max number of subdirectories in a media folder would be 999.  I do not know everything of the script, but I am 99.9% positive you will never hit the EXT3 limit with ASP.

Now having said that, if you can switch to XFS instead of EXT4 you will never have to worry about this.

Looks like it was probably your import file.  If you haven't modded anything and are using RC4, then it doesn't do that (normally).

Really. neutral

I have done the same thing but it would be nice to not have to edit templates so I can run different campaigns to see how they perform.

@Symtab,  Thanks!  I didn't know it was that simple.

#23 Re: Feature Requests » Ad Zone for Header » 2012-06-27 01:21:00

THS

Let JuicyAds handle the work. We will automatically redirect as much unique Mobile traffic as possible.
Copy and paste this code inside your website HEAD tags, as close to the top of the page as possible.

Important Guidelines:
1. Code should be pasted into the HEAD section of your website
2. If they are using our Mobile Javascript (Basic Method) code, this PopUnder needs to be pasted below it, not above it.

BLA also has some code that they say should be in the head section as well.

Certain ads require the code be placed above the </header> tag.  It would be nice to have an adzone for this.

Well that would be nice!  Not to burst the bubble - and I do hope you make that much - but even some of the top sites here are not making $200 a day.  If you do, please come back and tell us how you did it! smile

That's very..... encouraging....
I'd like to know what some of the more successful people are earning after putting in a few months/years worth of work into their sites, if they don't mind sharing such information.  I thought $200/day would be on the moderately low end of the successful tube site spectrum.

the operative word is "successful tube site"

Well, let me put it this way.  The best you can probably do with JuicyAds and in my opinion they pay the best, is about $1/1000 unique.  That is for non redirects.  With redirects, which ultimately is costing you traffic, you might get $2-3/1000.  This also assumes you are running several ads but you are running a risk of having too many ads.  You real money is in selling your own ads, but you have to have a lot of traffic to make it.  So assuming you are not an insane amount of traffic site - like 100K+/day, then realistically you are getting those numbers.  Most successful sites are probably getting about 10-30K in traffic a day, so the math is about $20-30 a day US.

Getting traffic is not all that "difficult".  Anyone who has been doing this will tell you the problem is maintaining it.  Good content, good layout, good value, and good marketing is what it takes.  Its not as simple as slap a tube-site up and make millions - if it was, I would be a millionaire! smile  You absolutely have to spend time marketing.  It takes money to get this going, time, and patience.  If you do all of these things, you definitely can make money at this game.

I don't know, others may disagree, but thats how I see it!
