I think that it is good when the user gets directly logged in after signup.
The Question is: If a user has to confirm his email and this email will never be confirmed by the user: Is it possible to login with a non confirmed email adress?
In vBulletin for example it IS possible but the user cannot use all the functions. I think this is good and in ASP case, the user should not be able to upload, or write PMs to other members ( spamprotection ).
I never tested this scenario, maybe it is like that now, if yes: Forget the sentence above

Me again 
I activated the gzip compression in Admin panel. Works so far, but sometimes i get a Content Encoding Error in Firefox.
To be clear: It's not always, most of the times it works without an error, and serveral server tests on the Net show that the site is compressed.
Additionaly, if the compression is activated the login does not work, that means:
I try to login into the Frontend, and i get NO error message like "password" wrong or something. It just throws me back to the login with no message.
When compression is activated, it is impossible to delete a Video. Server throws an error.
I did a research with google ( i always do BEFORE i post here), and it seems that this error is triggered by a whitespace in some php files. I just did not find the file with an whitespace in the code. There are so many

Hey just wanted to let you know, that ubuntu has an open cloud system running @ https://one.ubuntu.com.
This one helped me much migrating from Windows7 to Ubuntu Maverick.
I just synced my existing emailsettings and my keepass database with the ubuntu cloud system from windows. After that i installed ubuntu and synced my ubuntu setup with the cloud. I was done, worked like a charm. I just installed thunderbird email with ubuntu and synced. The best is, in my opinion: I can SSH my Server directly from console THATS REALLY GREAT. I don't have to use programs like WINSCP

Hi,
It would be nice if we could paste the csv data into a field in the CSV Admin Panel instead of pulling a file from the local pc.

No, while the csv import i can even close the browser an open the site again (opening in new tab works too). Works without problems.
This freezes happen often, while my wife uploads files via the SINGLE file upload in Adminpanel.
I did not test the frontent upload.

Hi,
Sometimes, when a video gets uploaded manually via acp ( single file upload ), lighttpd stops/freezes.
You can point your browser to my site, but nothing happens. No 404, No Timeout. Nothing. It keeps loading until the file is uploaded.
The Problem is: Lighttpd shows no errors in it's error logs. No errors in kernel.log too 
I dunno how to track/reproduce this. It happens - for example - when i upload via csv, and another user does an single upload via file.
Checked, via top, if the Server CPU is overloaded - it is not - Maximum 75% cpu load with two conversions running.
I know that is strange, but i dunno how to track this down
Changed everything possible in lighty config. Like the max-procs and so on. Nothing helps.
Strange thing is: The server does not throw a 404 or something. It just keeps on loading until the video is converted.
Just wanted to post this here, maybe someone knows a solution. I'am not even sure iF this is a Bug.

ARRRRRRRRRGH!
I was an mistake on MY side.
I added three ads for that zone and wondered why they do not rotate.
I blamed that on the site cache.
But..... Didn't recognize the Zone Setting "ROTATE: YES/NO"........
Now it's all ok, it was my "mistake".

Does not send email if a user has lost his passwd. it does not even produce an Log Entry in mail.log from Debian
Checked my Server by Sending an email through ACP ( Admin CP ) to the same email adress and this email arrived.

Hi,
The advertisement on video view right seems to be cached too ( from what i saw in the php file...7200seconds)
This means, the advertisement wouldn't change until the cache is renewed.
Would it be an serious performance issue to exclude the advertisement query from the cache?

Go to admin/index.php?q=video
The Link to the Owner of the video is not Correct. It has the iD from the Video and not from the Username.
I fixed it by myself. Just want to let you know.
