email confirmation

if i make people confirm email before they can become member

and they submit their email

but they do not confirm it

then, when i email members,

will i email non-confirmed members as well ???

ie, i don't want anyone putting in barackobama@whitehouse.gov and obviously don't confirm it, and then i go sending emails to the prez

also....

i put in a fake account to test it

ie.... 123456

and gave it a fake email account

then went to check users in admin panel

and that fake account ID came up as "Registered", even though email not confirmed

so don't want to go sending emails out to any non-confirmed members, so how can i prevent that ?

The email all function will only send emails to verified users by default.
