remove the www.

A site can use slightly different URLs for the same page - for example: if http://www.example.com and http://example.com resolves to the same page. If this happens, search engines may be unsure as to which URL is the correct one to index.

How to remove the WWW. on ASP? for better seo

Re: remove the www.

I do no know how to remove the www. from ASP...but if you are referring to your Google webmaster account and it's response to your sitemap giving you error messages due to Googles crawling and only reading www's in front of your domain the solution is:   just add a new site [ http: //www.yourd omain com ] as a new site within your webmasters account.  This is a lot easier and all you have to do is use Google's site verification process, submit your sitemap and within your dashboard select www.your domain.com as your preferred setting for your sites address.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Re: remove the www.

Just edit config.php and remove the www, all your links will be without www after that. I dont recommend this, what you should do is redirect non-www to www. Also like SmutTV said, google webmasters allows you to select which url you want to use.
