Re: site transfer

What you need to do is create a mysql backup (phpmyadmin/mysqldump) and then copy all files to the new server (make sure you chmod/chown the files on the server to have the same persmissions they had on the old one). Load the mysql backup file on the new server and then edit config.php. Thats it. If any problems appear, just let me know.

Re: site transfer

Hello,

If you have FXP-Transfer access on both servers you can easy directly transfer from one (old) server to the other (new) server. Just copy and dun move the files then you can test all on your new server before you remove all on the old one big_smile

Re: site transfer

Xiva, the transfer is the easiest thing about moving sites. Are the dependencies of ASP installed ? Like Apache or Lighttpd, Mysql, Php and so on ?

Well either you or the staff of the new server  transfers it. If they do you will be fine with all because they know what they do. Be patient and wait till they are done - it might cause big problems if 2 different instances work on it.

Let the old account / server active till the dns is propagated on the new ip - this may need 10 - 48 hours. Then you can deep check if all runs fine on your new server. Once it does cancel the old one.

I Tried Them And They Many Problems In My Script Now If I Try New Installation Also Some Features Not Work As They Transferred Backup Fully From My Old Host But Its Working In Frontend Properly And i got manual Way To ransfer the Site Too Its Easy and Anyone Can Try I Will try To Post When I Get Free. But In Site Migration from Hosting Staff They Make Site Damage Many Things.

Do i still have to worry about config.php if im doing OS migration? im changing out HDD for SDD.
