Hi,

After the release of BETA4 we will try to follow the below development plan:

Adult Script Pro RC1:
* Support for video flash player overlay html/javascript advertising (probably per video and per video category support also) (DONE)
* Support for mass video updates (also automatic) via RSS feeds from adult affiliate sites (DONE)
* Support for CSV and RSS Pornstar/Model Mass Importing (UNDER DEVELOPMENT/DROPPED)
* Support for mode menu items (a submenu visible only if you have submenu links) (DONE)
* Support for player overlay advertising for embedded videos (DONE)
* Improved overall template SEO and categories SEO (DONE)
* Support for CDN (completly integrated)

Following have been excluded from RC1 in favor of the Pornstar/Model Importer:
* Support for Mass Photo Uploads via FTP
* Support for Mass Photo Uploads via Archive (zip, rar, tar, bz)
* Support for Premium Membership in the Mobile Module (not fully decided yet)

Final Stable 1.0:
* optimizations (database and code optimizations)
* bug fixes (we want a stable release so no bugs allowed :-))
* scalability (we will stress the script with apache/mysql tools and see how much traffic it can handle)
* security tests and hardening

We cant give a exact date, but we will try to have Adult Script Pro 1.0RC1 finished by the end of February (obviously this is not possible anymore, as the date already passed, but i think the new features are worth the wait :-)

Please let us know if you have any questions/concerns (critics/ideas are also welcome).

Hmm. Is it a "pure" Pornstar import?

I mean how is it intended to work ? Importing Videos from a specified Pornstar or importing "just" the Pornstar, like Name, Birthplace and so on ?

Pure pornstar importing, basically you populate your site with pornstars. This will make it easier to assign videos to pornstars, also the rss video feeds will be able to assign videos automatically (same for CSV) if the pornstar is already in the database.

It's called "Model Exporter", very nice tool, you can add the specific DVD's from the pornstar.

If you have any features that need to be added before the RC1 release please let us know (after RC1 there will be no more features added until the final version, only bug fixes and optimizations).

been able to use the jw player as an alternative to flow would be good and been able to take advantage of mysql replication for load balance if needed would be nice too.

@Pierre: why do you want to use jwplayer instead of flowplayer? i mean what are the advantages. Mysql replication works perfectly, you need to configure mysql to replicate to a slave mysqld, it has nothing to do with the script (basically you configure mysql replication in my.cnf and then all operations on the main mysql server will also aply to the second/slave server). If the first main mysql server is down, the second slave server is used automatically.

I don't have experience using either of them. I just don't like the default flowplayer logo at the bottom and not being able to provide my own logo without buying the license.
About the mysql thing what I meant is if it would be a good idea to alternate selects between slaves in a replication setup. Leaving a inserts to the master and selects to alternate between slaves.

We will provide a free flowplayer license as soon as we can (basically the flash player will have your own logo and it will only work on one domain). Never thaught about the replication thing before, but adding this feature right now would mean i have to modify like half of the script. Do not worry about high traffic, with caching and sphinx you will be able to have a lot of visitors on one server only (once you have more visitors you can just use a separate server for mysql). The database is optimized, and it will go through another optimization after RC1 is released.

Basically lets say you get to a point where the site is slow (until now, we dont have any clients that have slow sites), you can do the following:
- have a separate server for php
- have a separate server for mysql
- have a separate server for memcache (for sessions and caching)
- have a separate server for videos
- have a separate server for thumbs (this will be possible after RC1 is done, with nginx for static content only)
- have a separate server for sphinx
- CDN for css/js and images (also after RC1)

The above would be able to keep a lot of visitors (i cant give you a exact number, but i'm sure its somewhere > 200.000). Also if you use PHP with FCGI you can have separate servers for php only (basically lighttpd on one server and multiple servers for php execution only). Also you have use pound as a load balancer. Once you get there...there are solutions :-)

Vidz.com replied and said that the model/pornstar image will be added in future developments (but not within the next 1-2 weeks). I'm searching for other ways to import models, in the mean time i could work on this: http://forum.adultscriptpro.com/viewtopic.php?pid=707

Symtab,

You asked what we thought needed to be added still, so this is just my opinion above and beyond what's already being added for RC1.(ie: Pornstar importing, photos uploading, RSS feeds, video advertising, subcategories...) It's mostly a collection of ideas from members on the forums into one place. In my opinion this would put the final "Polish" on the site for release and then any future updates you make are just to improve upon it.

1: More menu buttons/ drop down menu buttons. I've run out of space for items that I think would help monetization. With dating, cams and my blog up top, I can't place anything for Pornstar or Premium...
Perhaps a second menu under the first that we can turn on/off if we so desire? Can have the buttons center inside the second bar, maybe?

2: The more specific category advertising from my previous posts and header advertising integrated throughout site (underneath menus). I think this will help us and just add to all the customization you've already included. (Will help you advertise the script in just one more way over all the other scripts ) After this is included with the video advertising, it will be perfect.

3: Advertising spots for Forum page.

4: "News" area suggested in the forums...would help with connecting to our users.

5: SEO improvements you've been working on, (Thanks Videohard!)

6: Overlay for embedding videos.

7: Flowplayer license

Symtab, don't hate me for my suggestions. You asked! lol I don't know what's impossible to implement and what's not so hard, so forgive me.

The ideas are good and will be added. Even if we delay the RC1 release with 1 week or more.

1. I quess the best method would be a submenu or a more button that is a dropdown (in the dropdown case, the exposure will be very low).
2. Yes. I will include a advertising group/positon under the menu.
3. Advertising spots for the forum are great, no idea why i didnt add this before.
4. Not sure if this will make it in RC1, but i'll try (something like a news page ordered by date, only displaying last 3 news, with pagination and a separate page for each post, is this ok?).
5. This is a must.
6. Will add the overlay (just added it for some of my embed only sites, and it works perfectly).
7. The flowplayer license will not be added in RC1, however it will be there in the final version.

Feeling better...cant wait for spring to come :-)

PS: I dont hate, nor do i have any problems, with anyone that has ideas/critics/feature-requests or anything to say about the script, i actually think its very good, i learn from what all of you post, i make the script better, and we all make more money :-)

1: If possible, I think a secondary menu UNDER the primary menu would be better. That way everyone will see all the links. The dropdown or more button may not work as well because it's not in the users face. The less a user has to do to see the content, the better.
2: Advertising under the menu will be great. Can you also do the more specific advertising for the categories? I think it will really put the final touch on all of your advertising customizations. This is from my previous post:

If we could make Video Player Right be targeted for each Category.
If we could make Video Category Bottom, Left and Square be targeted for each category. Rough Sex category shows rough sex ads on the bottom and left, etc.

4: Sounds good, and also have it on the front page, in the same type of content box as recently watched? And maybe a way to have it minimized, unless the user clicks on it, where it then expands?

Could say: "News - click here to expand!" or something? Just brainstorming.

5: It's nice we now have a community member like Videohard that can help refine the SEO Techniques

6: Can't wait to see the embed overlay!

7: I can wait.

New #8: Changing the Interested in: Girls/boys/boy-girl to Women/Men/Both?

These adjustments would be everything that I can think of that would make this script be perfect for it's final release.

1. Yes, there will be a submenu, still thinking how to make this work.
2. For the under-menu advertising its easy, for the per video category, i'll do some research and see how i can implement it.
4. And enable/disable for the news box from admin
6. Please check my post about the embed overlay, it has a few limitations (from the programming point of view, its imposible to do it, without these limitations).
