just to add, I tested with a new video that has both the full and mobile mp4 version - but it doesn't make a difference. It plays on desktop but not on a mobile device with the responsive template.
So can't be the mobile mp4 version then. Any idea?

I'm still having trouble with playback on mobile devices. I forgot to mention that I am not using the mobile module, I'm using the same defboot template for desktop and for mobile (since it's responsive).
On the desktop site the video plays well with nuevo (and RTMP streaming) - but on mobile phones and tablets (iphone, android, ipad, windowsphone) the player including thumbnail appears, but it just won't start the video.
Does the responsive desktop template also detect the device and is trying to play the mobile video?

I really love the playlist feature. With auto-play enabled, it works like charm (nuevoplayer). However, the video is located at about half down the screen. so whenever the next video comes up, I'd have to scroll down the page to see the player.
It would be really great if users could watch videos continuously in fullscreen (or maybe some popup screen where the video stays in place)

I have the same problem. And I bought the license yet the player just stays black. Do you know what would be common issues that makes the player stay black? flow and flowhtml5 work good. Just nuevo stays black :-/

there maybe many script translations available for the site structure, but the actual content description/tags/title will be in one language only anyway. So actually I don't see much of a point in language subdirectories.

quick question, when using a mulit-server setup with a video streaming server. When users want to download a video instead of watching it, would the downloaded video come directly from the video server or will it be funneled through the php server?
Reason I'm asking is that I currently have performance issues due to too many people downloading videos and consuming too many server requests. I already use video streaming from a different machine but downloads still go via php.

we tried making a new template with the instructions above. This is how far we got:
1) copy folder templates/defboot to templates/mcl
2) insert new row in table templates
3) go to admin -> extend -> template manager. click on Config button for mcl template -> you get error Invalid template config file!
After debuggin the problem create file admin/modules/template/config/mcl.php with copied function from defboot and renamed to template_config_mcl() and renaming all occurrences of defboot to mcl
4) Got another fatal error. Had to create file admin/tempates/default/template_config_mcl.tpl.php
Questions:
1) When I select new template and click on Set Default buttton, it says Template marked active! However the active tempate remains defboot. How to activate new template?
2) After you help us to activate new template, will we get into similar fatal errors? Do we have to create other files for this to work correctly?

I noticed that when liking or disliking a photo, the following bugs appear:
- when a photo has not been voted on, and I click "dislike", the percentage will go to 0% - so far so good - when I refresh however, the percentage is suddenly 100%. It does count the votes, but for as long as there are only dislikes, it will always show 100%
- I can like/dislike a photo multiple times with refreshing- even though it's set to "rating once, by IP"
This does not happen with videos, only with photos.
could you check and confirm please?
and on another note, here is a suggestion for voting in general:
how about we don't display a percentage at all if video/photo hasn't been rated yet. I find it a bit "unfair" that unrated items show 100%
when in fact nobody cared to rate. and items with let's say 9 likes and 1 dislike show 90%.

I see, so ipads won't play the high resolution videos at all?
would there be a way to make mobiles play higher quality videos in case the mobile video isn't available? all my vids are mp4 now so it would be nice if newer/powerful mobile devices would also play the HD videos.

yes, the indexer is on a cronjob and runs every day at 00:00 server time.
We are thinking it may be a problem on the search query, or maybe the conf is not ok.
again, all videos that were added after sphinx installation are included, but no video from the time before.
Could you give me a working conf with latest sphinx? We'll try again

I have installed and enabled sphinx search on my site. However, search results only include videos that were uploaded after setting up sphinx. I have migrated from another script and so 99% of all videos don't come up in the search results.
Is there a way I can make sphinx re-index all videos?
Or if this doesn't work, could you please post the current sphinx settings for 2.0.12 please?

maybe not a feature but a small bug: it appears that in the "Community" tab, the sorting options (recent, popular, videos, name) don't work.
It would be fun to list members with the highest activity. Usually active members feel flattered when they receive attention from the other users.

also, after applying the fixes to the code, flowplayer-html5 doesn't work with rtmp streaming anymore (progressive still works).
(although I'm not 100% sure if rtmp streaming and fp-html5 worked before...)

Tested on iphone and Samsung S4, on Safari, Chrome and others. Also didn't make a difference if Wifi or 3G.
It appears that on mobile devices including tablet, another version of the player is loaded compared to Desktop. Would it have to do with that?
I'm having the same problem now, too. We fixed the player license issue but now I also can't play videos from mobile devices (including tablet). Also using streaming (but setting back to progressive doesn't make a difference).
The player loads up, I can click on slo-mo and full screen etc - also the video preview image displays. but the player won't play back the video.
Works fine on desktop, just like donronca describes.
Appears to be something in video start/stop/playback.
