When a user navigates to your site through the address bar, is it seen as more appealing to enter straight into the tube site, or is would it be more visibly pleasing to enter another site first and then from there, be able to navigate easily to the tube site? Honestly, I'm not really sure on how I'd feel as a visitor in either case... I mean, as long as they have something at the site that's worth me visiting in the first place, I'd be fine. But that's just me... Any suggestions?

The easier a visitor gets to the videos, the better. If you want to display ads over the flash player, that is also ok.
