Development Plan for 1.0 Final

Hi,

Ok. So RC1 was released, its time to look to the future. Adult Script Pro 1.0 (no beta, no rc, nothing :-)) will probably not
contain any new features, only bug fixes and optimizations (if i have enough time i might add some small features from the Feature
Request forum, i dont know exactly which ones, but i will post a poll).

Optimizations:
- right now if you have > 100.000 videos and like 10.000 visitors the main video browse page will be slow (recent, popular, rated...). Slow as in 1 second to query, however that is very slow in terms of mysql. There is no way to do the pagination and make it work (most people display a fake number of pages or dont even display pages to make it work). I will add a few tables so these queries will use separate
tables meaning that the video table will be free most of the time.

- the admin video browse page is also slow once you have tons of videos, i will also optimize that

- bug fixes

- i'll do some security testing

Features:
- you will be able to upgrade your site directly from the administration panel
- install modules/templates directly from the administration panel
- see updates/news from our servers
- i'm thinking to add the mass action feature (select x videos then select Perform Action) and then select that action, eg: assign to category, assign to sponsor and so on....

The development would not take that much however i want to redesign the presentation site (http://www.adultscriptpro.com) and create another server for the updates. Probably in 30 or 45
days the final version will be released.

Please reply to this thread if you have optimizations ideas.

While the plan has changed a little, the main features that i want for the final version are still the same. I'm working non-stop on finishing 1.0 FINAL.
- upgrades from the admin panel
- install/uninstall modules from the admin panel
- news/updates from our servers

This is a good idea because whe i try to edit video I select the videos one by one. Will save me time if they open all at edit selection with one click

BTW is the RC3 ready or better to update from RC2 to v1.0

You can upgrade to RC3 without any problems. I will email you RC3 right now.
