Is there a way to remove the 100% ratings overlay on the thumbs? I don't like it there. I have tried to disable ratings but that does not work and as far as I can tell, the ratings are not working either. When I click on dislike for a video, I can see one click, but the %100 percent does not change.

Its made like this on purpose. Only if you have positive ratings or you have at least one positive rating the percent will change. You can remove the ratings by editing templates/defboot/_video_list.tpl.php
