I need to setup an thumb server, so i go to:
admin>video>config>thumbs and select the option - thumbs server to yes
Thumb Server: Yes
FTP Host 184.173.232.6
FTP Port 21
FTP Username myusername
FTP Password maypass
FTP Root /
Save this changes, clean cache, and upload an new video...
THE PROBLEM
All thumbs are generated in myOLDdomain.com/media/videos/tmb/000/001/699/1.jpg
NOTHING in the new server.

Because there is something wrong with the FTP server. Are you sure you declared the root correctly? If its empty, then leave it empty, do not use /

I have exactly the same problem. And I have try all the possible setting of FTP ROOT yet there is still no luck.
the absolute path of the tmb directory in my case is
/home/username/public_html/media/videos/tmb
and the home directory of the ftp user is
/home/username
And if I am correct it should be
public_html/media/videos/tmb
for the FTP ROOT.
but it does not work at all.
And I have also check my php modules using php -m in ssd. the module ftp is there.
So is there anything I need check?
