Apache using 100% CPU

Anyone else running into this. Since I installed this script, I am getting TCP connections initiated by Apache hanging as close_wait and sucking up 100% CPU. Often, googlebot is the source of the connection that doesnt close. Connections will remain close_wait for hours or until I kill them.

Never encountered that. My load runs at an average of 0.5 - 1.5%, barely idles.

Same here. I never saw this problem before and nobody else reported this bug. The connections are closed once the script finished the execution.

I've tried adjusting keep_alive, timeout, and net.ipv4.tcp_keepalive_time

Hmm...your not reading this wrong at all, but i cannot explain why this is happening. Do you have a lot of visitors? Is this happening when you use a specific tool? (maybe the CSV importer crashes and it keeps downloading, updating the database).

Cant figure this out yet. I'm not really sure its related to this script either. But I'm still having the issue with connections staying open for hours and hogging CPU. I have my host working on the issue.

It is possible that a CSV importer, mass embedder or anything that runs in the background crashed and the process is sleeping now, but still eating CPU. I'm not sure if this is the case either. I've seen this happen on a shared server, but once the process finished everything was ok.

I found the problem. It was a looping script. NOT ADULT SCRIPT PRO. It was a bad Wordpress theme.

Ok. Good to know. I'm working on the RSS and CSV thing now. Hope to get it fixed today.
