Is it possible to only have hotlinked videos I have tried everything when importing videos to my site, no matter how I import the videos I get the video in the following folders...
media/videos/mp4
media/videos/vid

Yes, it is possible to have hotlinked videos, however if you chose to generate thumbs, then the video is still downloaded and thumbs are extracted. When you use the mass csv importer select hotlink and you will see videos will be hotlinked. In these days with html5 rising, you need to make sure the video is mp4.
