Hello Adrian,

got the same problem here too now.
The videos don`t play on the ipad and iphone anymore.
And yes i use the nuevo player,
for now i switch to the html5 flowplayer.
Please can you fix/solution it i want the nuevo player back on the site.

So with the 2.0.12 upgrade the videos dont play with nuevo anymore. The license is the same in the admin panel? Do you have a license from nuevolab or from me? (there is a difference between the two nuevo players).

ill take a look and let you know (i got a license from nuevolab)
but its a little strange i enable the hd and the mobile conversion and the player works again on the ipad and iphone
but only on the new videos i upload not the one i upload early today....

You mean on the ipad and iphone...... if i dont enable the mobile mp4 it wont play?
If thats so than it is strange because the last year i have disable the hd and the mobile conversion
and never have a problem with these settings.
But it can be i was only grabbing from perfectgirls and his videos have a quality off 360p.
Ill try to make some more time for this and test a little more.
For now everything is working again, Adrian.

I see, so ipads won't play the high resolution videos at all?
would there be a way to make mobiles play higher quality videos in case the mobile video isn't available? all my vids are mp4 now so it would be nice if newer/powerful mobile devices would also play the HD videos.

you will see that you can select the hd version in the nuevo player.
It plays well on a ipad and iphone at mine home.

You can make smartphones and tablets play the main mp4 files or hd files, but you need to modify the script for this (its only a small modification in the player php files). I cannot do this by default in the script, because this would mean that only high end devices will work (for example a expensive android phone will work, but a moto g wont work, because it wont support high profile in h264...).

Hi,
I'm still having trouble with playback on mobile devices. I forgot to mention that I am not using the mobile module, I'm using the same defboot template for desktop and for mobile (since it's responsive).
On the desktop site the video plays well with nuevo (and RTMP streaming) - but on mobile phones and tablets (iphone, android, ipad, windowsphone) the player including thumbnail appears, but it just won't start the video.
Does the responsive desktop template also detect the device and is trying to play the mobile video?

just to add, I tested with a new video that has both the full and mobile mp4 version - but it doesn't make a difference. It plays on desktop but not on a mobile device with the responsive template.
So can't be the mobile mp4 version then. Any idea?

ok I did some research. apparently rtmp is the challenge here. It works on desktop but not on mobile (mobile only understands html5).
I have a separate video server. What I want to achieve is that regardless of mobile/desktop device, that video playback and download comes directly from the video server and not via the app server (to save on i/o).
would this work with multi-server setup with aspro? I'd like to avoid that when a user watches a video which is stored on my media server is still served through the app server.

RTMP does not work on mobile at all. If you use the multi-server and pseudostreaming then it will work perfectly.
