High Traffic Site

Hi,

Working on a clients site and wanted to share with you some stats:

[root@106 ~]# netstat -taunwp | grep nginx | grep EST | wc -l
7916
[root@106 ~]# ps aux | grep php-fpm | wc -l
285

So basically thats a Xeon server with 32GB ram that had (at the time i posted this topic) 7918 users navigating the site/watching videos. So thats a lot of traffic and the script handles it without any problems, the load on the server is: 0.49, 0.45, 0.36

Let's say each visitors stay 8 minutes average on the site, this site has about 800k visitors daily. Wow.

Can you tell us at which hosting company has a server? Because when I reach more than 300 users, the page start load very slowly due to the low bandwidth at my hosting provider.

I use a managed server with 150$ for php script and database, so there is nothing to do from my part. I have 2000 online users right now.
