ok thanks sphinx working after your install, except one question: it returns all words in titles but if i search for 'hentai' and i have a 100 hentai videos in hentai category, it only returns the videos with 'hentai' in title, and not the full scope of hentai videos i have in category

It searches in Title and Tags.
If some of your Hentai videos do not have Hentai in title or tag they can't be found.

I do not see a tag option, it has category, but it does not put a tag on it,
maybe They could add this as a new option in next version,
otherwise all i see having to to do it one by one in video >manage, if adding tags works there for search results.

Never used mass embedding, but i think if the site from which you are embedding has tags, they should be imported. Which site is it ?

None of it works, i tried them all, the whole mass embed option is not working at all.
Maybe symtab has an idea why

Please open a new topic if you chance the subject/question. The mass embedders work (i just tested on my box), probably not all because the they change from time to time, but i can fix any that dont work. Are any videos added? Without thumbs, with thumbs? Is there a database entry created?

You dont have to change anything. The search (if set to complex in admin) should work out of the box. If it doesnt, i'll check your server later today (i have access, if it didnt change since yesterday).

Hey Guys! I bought ASPro a couple of weeks ago and I just got around installing Sphinx. I just spent a couple of hours having fun figuring out why it didn't return results. Symptoms are no error message in ASPro and no logged queries in Sphinx. Turns out that on CentOS, the version installed by yum is old and is not compatible with the (newer) version that ASPro expects. You can either install the most recent Sphinx version OR go the lazy route (which I did). Simply do:

cd /path/to/your/domain (if you're not already at the root of your domain)
cd libraries/sphinxapi
mv sphinxapi.php sphinxapi.php.orig
cp /usr/share/doc/libsphinxclient-0.9.8.1/sphinxapi.php .

That's it. As far as I can tell it works just as good at the one provided with ASPro.

If your Sphinx-provided sphinxapi.php is located somewhere else, you can find it:
find / -name sphinxapi.php -ls

@Sebo1992 : Forgot to add you need to 'yum install libsphinxclient' . By installing this you'll get the matching sphinxapi.php (which will be installed in /usr/share/doc/libsphinxclient-0.9.8.1/).
