you can still have ads on the background right (even with lightbox)? but will not refresh when you click to view next picture.
How about, lighttpd on photos? Photos right now can be hot-linked.

You can prevent photo hotlinking with apache, lighttpd...nginx, generally all web servers. A few rules in .htaccess for apache like:
