LOAD PROBLEM

some times my server starts load slow ( very slow ) when starts this command run to many times :

from WHM

Main >> System Health >> Process Manager

Pid (Trace) (Kill) thiva77 0 0.0 1.2 /usr/bin/php /home/username/public_html/index.php

when i have this line to many times my server load slow.......i cant handle that anymore

Thats the index.php file, it runs for every other person that runs the script. You have > 300.000 videos so that might be the problem. Please email me ssh root access.

Seems like the problem is a particular sql query, with duplicates. Debugging. I will probably enable slow query and then analyze tomorrow again.

Yes. I disabled the recommended videos until i figure out a better way to fix this.

Are you doing video conversion?

I just checked. There is no load on your server:
top - 08:17:26 up 52 days, 14:16, 2 users, load average: 0.13, 0.17, 0.17

You cant expect magic. You have a server with a 2.8Ghz CPU and 1GB Ram. You dont have that much traffic, but you have a huge database. I think it can work with a few users online at the same time, but with the users and the conversion it wont work at the same time

If i can check exactly in the moment when the site is slow, i could find out if there is a problem, but like i said above with a 2.8Ghz CPU and 1GB RAM you can expect to be able to have a lot of visitors at the same time.

is dual core ( 2 x 2.8 GHZ) is this not enough?
and if change to 2 GB ram ?

The script itself is not resource intensive (you can check the memory footprint and compare it with other scripts). Same the database is optimized (you can compare it also). You have a lot of videos, so the database is very very big. It depends on how many visitors you have, if the 2GB is good enough or not.

It might help a little, but it wont solve the problem completly. Once you get more visitors you will also need more RAM.
