is the community module based on a script/free ware or is it custom built? im just asking because alot of people say there is nothening new there about the community module

Our entire script is custom built. We have a few ideas from joomla and a few ideas from kohana. From joomla module/component/routes (not even 1 line of code was copied from joomla) and from kohana a few framework ideas, like the config caching system and a few other small portions (there are small snippets of code from kohana, but mostly ideas, kohana is released under the BSD License).
