Request to choose multiple videos and "Convert to Mobile"

I know we can individually convert a video to mobile - but neither bulk edit or mass edit allows us to select multiple videos and "Convert to Mobile"

This would be nice to let a server work overnight converting older vids to .mp4 for our mobile customers.

Another big +1 to this - if possible - or a way to set it up as a server side call so there aren't any timeout issues.

I know and i also thing the same. Everything that is automatic depends on the server, for example, i've seen servers where even if i add the set_time_limit(0), which means unlimited after a few hours it crashes/timeout. I will add this feature, the code is very easy to add.

In an "ideal" world, what would you suggest as the minimum configuration for a production server hosting a few thousand vids? RAM CPU (speed/qty), drive space vs drive configuration, etc., etc.

In this case the timeout, its not about the RAM/CPU, its either a mistake i make in my code or some limit on the server. I'm thinking that a cron would be better for this and convert one a time. If it crashes, save a log and you can see which videos were converted and which not.
