I think this is finetuning. And to be honest: I don't even update my Sitemap regularly. So just go on to get an RC and do that Sitemap re-design after AVP is out of the beta phase.

Hi,

I thought about the follwowing Scenario:

You have a Conversion Server and a Storage Server1 (SS1)
Now Storage Server HDD Space is full.

I add another Storage Server2 (SS2) .

Logically i have to set Storage Server1 to inactive for uploads....because it's full. So now the Script should upload only to SS2.

I overlooked the function VHelper_video_server::get.
This function selects the Server for upload and gets the server data for streaming ( i hope it's correct )

What i want to say: It does not look for the Status of a Server (0/1) or am i wrong ?

Conclusion: At the moment it is not possible to switch off a server JUST for uploading, because this function selects the Server for Streaming/Watching too and if it would look for the Serverstatus, the videos from SS1 ( if SS1 has status 0 ) would not play.

Is this correct? I try to understand PHP Code and i stared at the function for half an hour smile I hope i'am not wrong.

The Variables in the email templates are a little bit....ehm screwed smile

Customers can fix it for themselves, example for user-verify:

This is the template with working, just compare with your templates. Some Variables were like [#BASE_URL] <- # missing
Please Check your other Templates too.

The verification Email doesn't get send.

Quick self fix for other Customers: Admin CP->Email->Manage
Change the Templatename user_verify to user-verify

There is a little mistake in /modules/user/components/signup.php with this variable.

Is this a global fix to the Script, or do i have to make that unique "fix" to every new Version?

What i mean, do you upgrade your archives with the fix, or does that ONLY work on my Site ?

Had to find out how to reindex but after a little bit of googling i now how to.
The problem was that the index files are locked and indexer --all will not work
Solution: indexer --all --rotate

Will setup a cronjob smile

Hey,

It would make sense, if the Multiserver Feature would be used in Admin Mass CSV import. Sure it do not mean the Embedding or hotlinking.

Symtab knows about it, just to have it written down i post this.

With Multiserver enabled, the Source file on the conversion Server gets not deleted after upload,convert&&ftp in /media/videos/vid  media/videos/flv  media/videos/mp4

P.S: Linux is GREAT, but i switched back to a dual boot system ONLY because of World of Warcraft. Thats sad. Thats another topic, BUT the ATi/AMD drivers for Linux just suck.

Hi,

I'am trying to free unused space on my harddrive.

Is it safe to delete the content of media/videos/vid ?

I can't see any use of the videos in there, because the converted videos are in mp4 and flv folders

I did that. But now the server tries to load all existing videos from my second server smile

Tested a few uploads too, but the server will not be used.

Hi,

Is it correct that the additional server has to have the same Directory Structure like the MEDIA Dir?

Example:

disk2-
------media
-------videos
--------vid
--------tmb
--------mp4
--------flv


Additionaly my FTP runs not with the standard ftp port ( stop port scanners ) is it possible to input an other port into the ftp function?

A Friend of mine wants to use ASP for publishing videos for his site.
He will buy a license, he just wants to have a look around in the Admin Panel, and i gave him ACP Access to my Site.
Now, this site should run on my Server with a subdomain of his forum site.
I thought about minimizing the impact on my server. I said to him he should convert his videos to flv and then upload them.
I don't know exactly, but is it possible to switch OFF the conversion methods completety ?
