#26 Re: Troubleshooting » cpanel mail?? » 2011-05-26 13:10:17

If it persists make a note of the time it's happening and check it against your IP logs, you shouldn't have that many sshd processes running. Like Adrian stated, it's possibly a flood/brute force, you're getting too many requests.

Hey Adrian,
I'd like to modify the video display panel, adding a couple more images and links.
34xp0mw.jpg

Could you point me in the right direction on which .php files I'd need to look into?
I'm also thinking about adding a different voting option more along the lines of a like/dislike button option with thumbs up/down.
I'd certainly appreciate it.  smile

You're not getting much traffic, you have a low end processor.
Still shouldn't be running at 100% though. Run the 'top' command from putty and see what's using the resources.

One day the owner of a porno store goes out for a while, leaving the shop to his
salesman. Soon a woman goes into the porno shop.
She asks, "How much for the white dildo?"
The Shopkeeper answers, "$35."
She: "How much for the black one?"
He: "$35 for the black one, $35 for the white one."
She: "I think I'll take the black one. I've never had a black one before."
She pays him, and off she goes.
A little bit later a black woman comes in and asks, "How much for the black
dildo?"
He: "$35."
She: "How much for the white one?"
He: "$35 for the white one, $35 for the black one."
She: "Hmmm... I think I'll take the white one. I've never had a white one
before..."
She pays him, and off she goes.
About an hour later a young blonde woman comes in and asks, "How much are your
dildos?"
He: "$35 for the white, $35 for the black."
She: "Hmmmmm... how much is that plaid one on the shelf?"
He: "Well, that's a very special dildo... it'll cost you $165."
She thinks for a moment and answers, "I'll take the plaid one, I've never had a
plaid one before..."
She pays him, and off she goes.
Finally, the guy's boss returns and asks, "How did you do while I was gone?" To
which the saleman responded, "I did really good, I sold one white dildo, one
black dildo, and I sold your thermos for $165!"

You serious??  Dear God.
One of my other sites I get about ten DMCA reports a week, at least. As long as I remove the reported thread/post it's fine.

For KinkKorner my host is offshore, Netrouting, they're awesome hosts.
Actually all of my servers are offshore, they're more lenient (so far), especially when it comes to perusing DMCA reports.

Holy shit, that is a nice speed test. I thought I was doing well at 20MB/s.
I somehow feel inadequate all of a sudden  lol

#38 Re: Development » user permission » 2011-05-20 17:00:50

If I may.  smile
Registered is the base and lowest usergroup, any usergroup above that (premium/moderator/editor) will all have the same permissions and more.
So yes, premium members can upload also if you set it to "registered" (which you should in my opinion).

#40 Re: Troubleshooting » SQL video_history table 100MB after 18 days » 2011-05-20 14:02:57

Good topic.
So it's basically just the one line?

$this->db->query("INSERT INTO #__video_history

Will certainly free up the SQL a little, like you said there's always analytics or Woopra which is what I use for tracking.

#41 Re: Troubleshooting » Uploading Videos » 2011-05-20 13:50:35

So it's basically two uploads per file? My computer to the server then from the Admin panel (FTP upload) to the site?
Would it just be faster just uploading from the public site?
I think it was reconverting the files even though that was unchecked, all it would of had to do is generate the thumbs as it was already in the correct format.
It would be a nice feature if the video could be uploaded without going through that process and have the feature of adding your own thumbs as an option  *hint* *hint*  smile

I'm having a problem.
First I uploaded a 70mb .flv video that I had ALREADY converted to .flv from my home computer to my server via FTP. I tried to "Upload from FTP" and it didn't work, but I think you said something about that previously.
So, then I used the regular "Upload" option and it took forever, I finally gave up and deleted the movie, after about 45 minutes.

So, I have to upload any given movie to the server from my home system after converting and watermarking then re-upload again through the admin panel from the server? Basically two uploads?
I have the option un-checked "FLV Convert (re-convert FLV files)", so it's not supposed to be reconverting.

Instead of embedding from other sites I plan on uploading my own content from now on, at least the majority to have some originality, watermarked and so that I can use ads properly, I even bought the commercial Flowplayer, but obviously I'd like to upload from the server without problems.

Any pointers?  smile

Thanks Adrian.

#43 Re: Installation » 404 on step 2 » 2011-05-20 03:42:23

You're welcome  wink

Just to make sure..  when you uploaded the script you actually uploaded to /domains/smuttv.co/public_html/  and not just to your /public_html right?

#44 Re: Installation » 404 on step 2 » 2011-05-20 03:15:37

Your server will have 2 IPs that you were given.
33wpsgg.jpg

Look to the lower left of my screenshot: "Host Summary (add)"
NS1 > "edit" > your first server IP goes there.
NS2 > "edit" > your second server IP goes there.
One IP to each (NS1 and NS2)
If NS1.ayksolutions.com and NS2.ayksolutions.com are your new nameservers then that's fine, don't change them.

Godaddy can be a pain.

Hope this helps.

#45 Re: Installation » 404 on step 2 » 2011-05-20 02:40:28

yourdomain.com/install/ always works.
DNS can take up to 48 hours although that's rare, usually a lot faster.
Just ping your domain to see what IP is resolved. If it's the IP of your old server then you'll know you need to wait until the DNS propagates.
In Godaddy, don't just change the nameservers, also add the 2 server IPs for NS1 and NS2 accordingly (I use Godaddy for a few domains).

#47 Re: Troubleshooting » Photo Upload » 2011-05-19 18:08:29

Yes Sir.
Cat wasn't, is now. Just added another category and still the same.

#48 Re: Troubleshooting » Photo Upload » 2011-05-19 14:28:15

Ok, after drinking more coffee I added a category however when I try to add an image to accompany the category I get:

Tip!Failed to add category image! Aborting...

Do photo categories actually have category photos?
Also when the upload of a photo is complete the "here" button isn't live, URL isn't resolving:

Album created! Click <a href="http://www.kinkkorner.com/photo/8/test/">here</a> to view your album!

14kfvo2.jpg

I've added 4 photos into two categories and it's showing 4 albums, just looks a little off, especially with no images.
I can change from "albums" to photos" in the admin panel to view the uploaded photos, it's just when it's set on "albums"

I just upgraded to RC2 (thank you) and noticed a small glitch.
When I press the upload button and switch over to photos I only have two categories.
I rebuilt the categories in the Admin panel.
