Its a permission issue.  Did you chmod the directory and the files just in case?

Yeah, right now, I'm leaning towards Adult Script Pro....  I am prepared for the journey.  I know it's not going to find me success overnight, but I have a solid feeling it can and will snowball into something great over the next few years.  Hopefully, I can set a reasonable goal of having the site be able to profit ~$200/day by this time next year with a great deal of hard work each and every day.  With that much money, I'll take the pay cut and make this site my full time job.  I can survive off of $1400/week for a while, and as I mentioned earlier, I'd only scale up from there.  I'll be making my purchase soon.

Well that would be nice!  Not to burst the bubble - and I do hope you make that much - but even some of the top sites here are not making $200 a day.  If you do, please come back and tell us how you did it! smile

You can run this as a cron or incorporate it on delete of a vid.

This should really be added as a feature or a bug because upon deletion of a video, everything should go - unless it is doing a soft delete for some purpose.

That appears to be in /admin/modules/video/components/edit.php line 67:

$size				= $filter->get('space', 'INT');

I believe it should be:

$size				= $filter->get('size', 'INT');

I have not tested this, but I am pretty sure thats it.

Make sure the sitemaps folder is chmod 755 if you have suphp or 777 if not.

I am probably just going to add a field to the table to store source_id this way I can add the video id there and just run a simple query and cron.  This will keep it hidden from the users.  PornHub and RedTube (the ones I use atm) both offer the video id field as a CSV export option.

I use the mass embedder but I would like a simple way to keep my vids up-to-date.  After initial import, I use the RSS to get the new videos, but you need a way to remove videos that have been flagged from the source.  Currently, I am adding the video ID to the description field or searching the embed code for it to remove them.  A RSS feed / cron job would be a lot better.

I am not seeing a way to auto-delete videos from an RSS feed or import or such.  RedTube and the others provide a way for us to remove the videos that they had to remove.  Is there a way to automate this?

So I just checked my old CSV's and it looks like I was using ; as the separator for the fields and a , to separate the individual categories / tags.  I am changing this now to see if this fixes it.  RedTube uses the ; tag separator is you choose the | as a field separator.  Might be something to look at.  Also, I found a cosmetic bug, on mass CSV import (I think you said this was going away) under the separator drop-down it shows comma as comma(|) when it should be comma(,).


UPDATE & SOLVED:  So not the issue as stated above.  During migration apparently the auto-term field did not get populated in the new database.  I resolved this and it has fixed it.

Symtab,

I migrated servers and got the site up and going ok.  I was trying to add new videos (embed code) and all the videos are being added to the last category.  Is this something server side or is my CSV malformed?

It currently looks like:

For number 1, all you need to do is type one of these in the to box and it goes to that group: all, registered, premium.

@symtab

It might help to just add something there so people know of this feature.  I had to look at the code awhile ago as I thought it wasn't there either.

By doing what Symtab said.  Talk about the script and not porn.  Talk about how it can be used for adult sites or also other sites but its made specifically for porn.  Of course they aren't going to allow sexual content, they sell all sorts of kid friendly stuff.  If you focus on the software you are promoting and not the content, you will get what you want.

Well, with 2000 you should be pulling in about $3 if your ads are setup using basic services.  So extrapolate that and you will get how much traffic you need.  For instance, 1 site that gets 34,000,000 a day is making $68,000 a day - just using JuicyAds.

Interesting.   I haven't looked up Apache 2.4 so I will go research that.  @Symtab, I have been reading about using Apache2 to server your dynamic content and Lighty to server your static / memcached content.  Do you think there is benefit to this?  @Eri, I remember seeing in the forum that you were getting Nginx setup.  How did that work out with ASP?


For everyone that keeps emailing me about how to get their site to this level of traffic, please read the first post.  This is hypothetical and thinking long-term.  I would love to have that traffic.  I am trying to compare the different benefits of different server setups and what the most you could squeeze from a box would be.
